Needle Roller Bearings

Needle roller bearings are roller bearings with cylindrical rollers which are thin and long in relation to their diameter. They are referred to as needle rollers. These bearings have a high load carrying capacity and are thus suitable for bearing arrangements where radial space is limited.

There are various types of needle bearings as mentioned below:

• Needle roller and cage assemblies prefixed by K,KT, KZK, KBK
• Drawn cup needle roller bearings with open ends and closed ends prefixed by HK,TLA, BK, TLAM
• Needle roller bearings with ribs at the outer ring are identified by prefix NK, NKS, RNA48, RNA49, RNA69(without inner race) and NKI, NKIS, NA48, NA49, NA69 (with inner race)
• Needle roller bearings without ribs are separable type known by prefix RNAO (without inner race), NAO (with inner)
• Aligning needle roller bearings prefixed as RPNA(without inner race) and PNA (with inner race)
• Combined needle roller bearings are identified as NKXR, NKX, NX, NKIA, NKIB
• Drawn cup roller clutches are prefixed as HF, HFL
