Capacitor Bushings

Inspros Engineers Pvt Ltd manufactures a wide variety of Capacitor Bushings with many geometrical shapes to suit a wide requirement of creepage distance consequently meaning befitting an extensive range of BIL (voltages), in compliance with various international standards or regulations. The bushings comprise of a high strength glazed porcelain insulator which is precision finished to size. The top cap, terminal stud and flange are made of stainless steel. The metal parts are precision fitted to the porcelain body, using rubber gaskets to ensure leak-proof joints. As a variant, the top cap assembly of the bushing could be supplied with a pre-brazed copper flexible lead, so that need of soldering or brazing of lead from capacitor element pack to the HT terminal, i.e., the stud of bushing by the user is eliminated. The bottom mounting flange is recommended to be TIG welded to the top lid of the capacitor case (housing) during assembly at capacitor manufacturer's works, thus resulting in a leak free joint of high mechanical reliability. However, as a hybrid option between the conventional soldering and the current weldable technologies, the bottom flange could be given with a construction suited for soldering to the top lid of the capacitor case instead of TIG welding. Design variants. The bushings could have any of the following variants: glaze – brown or grey; stud size – M12, M14, M16, ½ " UNC or any other; stud type – hollow or solid; lead fixing – to be fixed by user or factory brazed to desired length and cross section; and bottom flange – weldable/solderable. As a value added sub assembly, bushings could be supplied integrally welded to the top lid of capacitor case. The lid could either be of SS or CIRCA sheet, as per customers’ design.
