Self Aligning Ball Bearing

Star India Bearing Company offers Self Aligning Ball Bearing. Self-aligning ball bearings, such as the Wingquist bearing, are constructed with the inner ring and ball assembly contained within an outer ring that has a spherical raceway. This construction allows the bearing to tolerate a small angular misalignment resulting from deflection or improper mounting. It has two rows of balls and a common sphere raceway in the outer ring. The bearings are consequently self-aligning and insensitive to shaft deflections and angular misalignment of the shaft relative to the housing. Additionally, self-aligning ball bearings generate less friction than any other type of rolling bearing, which enables them to run cooler even at high speeds. Self alignment bearing is used for commercial ground shafting application.

Since axial load capacity is limited self alignment bearing is not used for heavy load application.
