Copper alloy brake (CAB) a new range of pneumatic actuated, water cooled brake are used in various fields like, steel industry, non ferrous industry, paper industry, mining and general industry. The CAB design achievement is the increase in power rating at 100% in an equivalent casing size compared with other successful existing ranges. The new brakes therefore actually cost less than their predecessors for the power rating. There is an external visual indication of lining wear, no lining adjustment through out the life for wear and easy dismantling when maintenance is required. The maximum heat dissipation capability is 1600 kW.
