Powder Coating Equipment – Electrostatic

Triologics Surface Finishing Equipments, an ISO 9001: 2008 certified company, offers Electrostatic Powder Coating Equipment – Corona CF. The Corona-CF is an external Voltage Generation Unit. The 220 V AC power supply is stepped down to 27 V AC. The DC power is then generated from 27 V AC by a rectifying circuit. This DC power is then used to develop oscillations of high frequency, which is then fed to cascade to generate 85 to 90 kV. This is further fed to gun barrel through high voltage cable. At the gun tip, electric power is fed to the gun electrode where a corona is formed and powder is charged to fullest extent. This is a constant power unit, which ensures voltage and current ratio to ensure proper charging of powder with good coverage and wrap around at different distances from gun tip and the job to be coated, which results in highest first pass efficiency for better coverage. The gun barrel has a unique vortex nozzle, which evenly atomises powder at the tip of the gun to generate a powder cloud. The design ensures straight powder path to ensure flawless powder flow. A variety of powder flow patterns are possible due to special vortex type nozzle design without changing nozzles. The Corona-CF is a typical electro-pneumatic design with two stages, which can be used depending on the job profile. Pneumatic trigger, valves and circuit which is used to automate kV and powder flow adjustment for second stage. At second stage change in the kV, reduces powder flow pattern. The difference in charge tackles the Faraday Cage effect and stops repelling of powder, which is an advantage when painting corners and intricate shapes.
