These valves can be used to control combustion air in forced draft industrial burners, pre-heated air, fuel gases, etc. As the name suggests, the valves are not “tight shut off†and allow leakage of 1.5%~2% of the valve’s Kv. These valves have wafer type construction, suitable for mounting between flanges and are pressure rated PN6/PN10. These are available in nodular iron construction, body and disc, also in SS316 on request. The valves can be ordered in electric or pneumatic actuator operated versions depending on the mode of control chosen by the user. Since the most likely application of the valves are for “modulation†duty, the company offers a choice of 100% ED rated electric actuators and control accessories from ARIS Antriebe, Germany or pneumatic actuators, positioners and control accessories from Kinetrol Ltd, UK. Both companies are the best in their chosen areas. These actuators are especially designed for precise and accurate control and many decades of un-interrupted operation. Electric or pneumatic actuated, these valves are fitted with ‘emergency’ manual actuation.
