- Subtronics proudly presents its state-of-the-art model, the OTSM-1. This fixed diffusion-based VOC detector is designed to detect a range of Volatile Organic Compound gases at parts per million (ppm) levels. Volatile organic compounds are chemicals with high vapor pressure and low water solubility, commonly found in paints, pharmaceuticals, refrigerants, and other industrial products. Some well-known VOCs include acetone, benzene, ethylene glycol, formaldehyde, methyl chloride, perchloroethylene, toluene, 1,3-butane, xylene, and more.
- The OTSM series, also known as the "On The Spot Monitor," utilizes advanced photoionization technology with a 10.6eV lamp. This cutting-edge technology enables the OTSM-1 to detect a wide range of VOC gases, surpassing industry standards with a lifespan of 5 years. With its IP68 ingress rating and an Ex'd' case, the OTSM-1 is suitable for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 areas. It carries a Gas Group IIC classification and a T6 temperature class rating. Additionally, the intrinsically safe sensor housing allows for sensor servicing without the need for a hot work permit. The OTSM-1 guarantees reliable VOC measurements even in the harshest environments.
- Equipped with Three Status (Registerd Mark) LEDs and a bright digital display, the OTSM-1 ensures easy visibility of its status, even under direct sunlight or from a distance. Five magnetic switches facilitate intuitive setup and adjustments, with the LED keys illuminating to confirm key presses.
- The OTSM-1 models offer multiple output options, including RS485 MODBUS, 4-20mA current loop, and two programmable relays. These versatile options cater to various applications such as manufacturing and processing, refineries and petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, indoor air quality monitoring, industrial painting and coating, fenceline monitoring, tank farms, and bunkering.
