- Burr-free, clean hole is a time consuming, cumbersome operation in a shop-floor. Our Automatic Duplex Deburring & Chamfering Tool is designed for a quick deburring of the top & bottom end of drilled hole, immediately after drilling the same set up, without declamping the job.
- It deburrs and produces a light chamfer in a drilled hole both at the top as well as at the bottom. No change either in the spindle speed or in the direction of spindle rotation or in the job set-up is required. The tool can be deployed immediately after drilling. Neither manual interruption nor special operational skills are required at any stage of it's use. The time required for duplex deburring and chamfering is few seconds. Further, the chamfers will be uniform & concentric to the hole.
- The tool consists of only 4 parts - shank, HSS blade, fulcrum-cum-lock screw and screw for adjusting blade projection. The blade, having certain unique features, is made of HSS and it undergoes a special heat treatment process, because of which it attains certain level of spring action. After cutting on the top of a hole, the blade retracts inside the pocket, provided in the tool shank, as the cutting pressure increases. The blade gets slowly released from the pocket, as the cutting pressure decreases and the deburring and chamfering operations are done in the bottom of the hole. Special care is taken to ensure that the tool or its parts do not damage the bore.
- The tools are available in sizes from Ø5 mm to Ø24 mm in a stepless range. The holding shank is cylindrical, so that the tool can be mounted on the machine spindle through a drill chuck or collet. The required minus tolerance on the guiding shank of the tool is maintained for an easy entry and free rotation in the bore. Therefore, the bore diameter of the tool is identified as the size of the tool.
- The robust construction, unique design features and heat-treatment process for wear resistance make the tool and the blade highly enduring under the most trying cutting conditions.
