It replaces steel, cast iron, bronze, aluminium, rubber, and wood or laminated phenolics in applications of bushings, bearings, gears, wheels, rollers, wear plates, etc. It has high mechanical strength, outstanding fatigue resistance, high impact and shock resistance high mechanical damping ability, corrosion resistance and exceptional wear resistance particularly in dirty environment. It is available in large diameters in excess of 2 metres.
