One of RTIPLs' strategic alliance partners is Hongshang Heat Shrinkable Material Co Ltd, an ISO 9001: 2008 certified company from China, and a leading manufacturer of heat shrinkable materials and cable accessories. Established in the year 1994, Hongshang has a state-of-the-art integrated manufacturing facility in Shenzhen, China, and one more production facility established in year 2008 nearby.

Hongshang has been awarded the National High-Tec Enterprise award in China and is a member of Chinese Isotope and Radiation Profession Association. The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility features electron beam accelerators, to cross-link (irradiate) polymers, which helps in cost effective production of high quality and stable products, apart from irradiation cross linking process the company has an in-house facility for compounding, extrusion, expansion, and coating.

As a result, Hongshang products are of the highest quality and consistency conforming to international standards and have approvals from internationally accredited test facilities. UL - USA, RWE - Germany, KEMA - Netherlands, CPRI - India, and WUHAN - China, RoHS and European regulations have been implemented since 2005, making sure that the customer's requirements are in accordance with their market regulations. Research & Development

Hongshang has established itself as a technical leader in the field of heat shrinkable products. This has been made possible by its continuous research and development efforts in the field of polymer and adhesive technology for exploring and developing new heat shrink and related technologies for diverse industrial applications. The Hongshang R&D centre for radiation modified polymer material along with Medium Voltage Test Facility is located in Shenzhen, and is a National Certified Test Laboratory. The R&D centre is staffed by a number of experienced groups of technologists having a rich research experience in polymer and adhesive sciences. It has facilities for polymer material mechanics, chemistry, thermal analysis, electrical testing laboratories, medium voltage cable accessories, laboratories and pilot workshop.

As a result, there is a systemic research and development capabilities from materials development, product structure design, product performance analysis to new products trial production. New product development and research expenses in recent years have increased significantly reflecting the commitment of Hongshang to consistently and effectively improving technical capabilities.

Laboratory facilities have equipment to simulate environmental conditions, produce prototype quantities of new compounds, extrude and mould new products, and test products to a variety of market specific standards.
