India’s L&T subsidiary opens valve manufacturing unit in Saudi Arabia

L&T Valves, a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a prominent Indian engineering and construction conglomerate, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Saudi Arabia.

Named L&T Valves Arabia Manufacturing, the facility boasts systems and processes meticulously certified to meet ISO standards, ensuring top-notch quality in its flow-control solutions, as announced by the provider in a recent statement.

Additionally, the new plant will proudly display the API 600, 593, and 6D monograms of the American Petroleum Institute, further solidifying its commitment to excellence in the industry.

Renowned as one of the primary suppliers of on-off valves to the Kingdom, L&T Valves' latest venture signals the dawn of locally manufactured flow-control solutions under the banner of ‘Made-in-KSA’, tailored specifically for the energy and related sectors.

This strategic move is impeccably aligned with the objectives outlined in the Saudi Vision 2030 and the In-Kingdom Total Value Add (iktva) initiative, actively fostering the creation of a local value chain and facilitating the development of skill enhancement programs.

“The new facility will significantly enhance our local production capabilities in line with the Saudi Vision 2030. It will further strengthen the collaboration between L&T and Saudi Arabia,” Anil V Parab, Director & Senior Executive Vice President – Heavy Engineering and L&T Valves, said in a statement.

Moreover, the facility's operations are poised to cater to the burgeoning demands across the Middle East and Africa, serving as a testament to L&T Valves' commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the region, as stated in the announcement.
