Electric mobility startup Entuple E-Mobility and automotive systems supplier Aditya Auto have joined forces to establish manufacturing facilities in Bangalore, as announced in a joint statement. The joint venture will be financially backed by both partners' equity contributions and will focus on producing electric traction hubs and mid-drive motors.

The facility is set to have an annual manufacturing capacity of 270,000 units of hub motors and 225,000 units of mid-drive motors (48V). Hub motor production is scheduled to commence next month, with mid-drive motors following in December once the joint venture's Traction Motor plant becomes operational.

"The formation of this joint venture marks a significant milestone in our commitment to promoting the rapid adoption of electric mobility in India. By producing BLDC (brushless direct current motor) and PMSM traction motors, we are expanding our range of motors to offer our customers high-performance and cost-effective electric drivetrain solutions with a strong emphasis on local manufacturing," commented Mihir Jayaraman, CEO of Aditya Auto Products and Engineering (India).

Aditya Auto, known for its expertise in mechatronic systems, motors, and precision components, operates 12 plants across India and serves as a key supply chain partner to prominent passenger and commercial vehicle original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) both in India and internationally.

"These motors have been meticulously designed and developed internally at our research and development facilities in Bengaluru and Thiruvananthapuram. The production will be entirely indigenous within this joint venture," stated Rakesh Mishra, CEO of Entuple E-Mobility Private Limited. Entuple, founded by experts in electromagnetics, power electronics, and embedded systems, specialises in electric powertrains (motors and motor controllers) and turbocharger products.
