Samsung invests $1.8 billion in Vietnam for OLED manufacturing plant

Over the past decade, Vietnam has positioned itself as a key production hub for electronics companies, attracting significant investments.
Samsung Display Co has announced plans to invest an additional $1.8 billion in a new OLED manufacturing facility in northern Vietnam. This investment was formalised through a memorandum of understanding signed between Bac Ninh authorities and Samsung Display.
With this new investment, Samsung's total financial commitment in Bac Ninh will increase to $8.3 billion, up from the current $6.5 billion. Over the past decade, Vietnam has positioned itself as a key production hub for electronics companies, attracting significant investments.
To date, Samsung has established six manufacturing plants, one research and development center, and one sales entity in Vietnam, contributing a cumulative investment of $22.4 billion to the region.
