Emeritus Professor Padma Vibhushan Dr M M Sharma inaugurated the new state-of-the-art technology manufacturing facility of Rudolf Atul Chemicals Limited (RACL). RACL is a JV company of Rudolf GmbH, global leader in specialty effect chemicals and Atul Ltd (Lalbhai Group) leaders in dyes and chemicals of international repute.

In addition to the Atul's existing range of specialty coloration chemicals; this new manufacturing site at Atul (Valsad, Gujarat) is expected to produce and supply over 5000 MTA of various process and effect chemicals of Rudolf's European technology based products in the first phase of operation.

Mr Sunil Lalbhai, Chairman & MD of Atul Ltd specified need of efficiency in productivity, ensuring safety, ecological and housekeeping norms to be in line with the high standards established at all Atul sites and the growth expectations from the new venture.

Dr G V G Rao, Managing Director, RACL, elaborated on the current market scenario, technology platforms of new product portfolio, key initiatives taken and actions planned for strategic business growth.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr M M Sharma pointed out on the shift of textile processing from Europe to Asia, the growing demand in domestic market and emphasised on the need to focus on environment friendly value added products.

RACL aims to enhance its market share of the Textile Chemical business in the Indian market by further enhancing manufacturing capacities and be a reliable supplier to offer a complete product range on the basis of service, quality and cost competitiveness.
