How is Enerpac empowering its customers with its hydraulic tools?
Enerpac tools and equipment allow customers to harness the power of hydraulic force so they can complete an extensive range of industrial applications. We make complex, often hazardous jobs possible safely and efficiently even in the most challenging and remote locations. Enerpac hydraulic tools are used every day for lifting, pushing, pulling, tightening, cutting, pressing, and more.

How important are hydraulic tools for propelling the growth of the Indian economy?
Incredibly important! They’re used by engineering professionals worldwide in the critical sectors of infrastructure, energy, rail, and maintenance. When work is this important, the tools should be robust enough to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently every time. When you consider the hydraulic forces exerted and what’s at stake, its worth investing in tools from a reputable brand with a proven history of success.

Which end-user industries are driving demand for Enerpac’s products & solutions in India?
Enerpac is engaged in providing quality products and reliable solutions to various industries. High adoption of precise & safe maintenance tools mainly from manufacturing, construction, mining and oil & gas industries offers growth opportunity in the hydraulic tools market. Choosing the right product for a high-pressure industrial tool application can be a challenge. That’s where Enerpac comes into the picture. Industries prefer Enerpac due to our safe & reliable products, custom solutions, wide distribution channel and local team support.

Could you please brief us about some of your recently launched hydraulic tools in India?
Over the past three years, Enerpac has developed new industrial tools with an expanded range that now includes more portable pumps, new bar and chain cutters, together with torque wrenches and longer reach lock-grip pullers. Our recent launched new products are:

  • Self-propelled EMLS and EMV Series—battery powered machine skates for moving heavy industrial machinery in confined spaces where conventional methods are either labour intensive or unsafe.
  • EVO-P pump-per-point synchronized heavy lifting system. The considered choice for precision heavy lifts. With a dedicated two-stage pump for each lifting point, featuring variable motor speed control and precision lifting and retraction, speed is maximized with unprecedented accuracy.
  • Upgraded RC-series hydraulic cylinders ‘Trio’ bearing system for enhanced durability, and a new hybrid spring-return system for fast retraction and greater productivity.
  • Industrial cutters offer a quick, safer cutting solution with no risk of exploding blades, sparks and open flames. They are designed to cut metal bar, industrial chain, wire rope and cables, metal tubes, profiles and similar materials.
  • The government of India has announced big investment plans for infrastructure development (including National Infrastructure Pipeline).

How will these initiatives propel the hydraulic tools market?
More pipeline projects will result in increased demand for equipment such as hydraulic torque wrenches, clamshell cutters, hot tapping machines, portable pumps, and various flange tools. For bridges and other construction projects, you can expect to see more use of heavy lifting hydraulic equipment, such as jack up systems, synchronous hoists, gantries, and strand jacks.

How is the increase in modernisation and automation in the Indian manufacturing industry generating more demand for Enerpac’s hydraulic tools?
Enerpac believes in ‘Endless innovation results in the right tool’. Companies are adopting latest technologies to increase productivity. Enerpac is pushing the industry forward with a wide range of advanced industrial tools and services. We are continuously investing in innovation and upgrading to latest technologies to help our customers with efficient and effective ways to perform jobs.

What kinds of emerging trends are you seeing in the hydraulic tools industry?
Improved battery technology in recent years has made it easier to work in remote locations where access to power is difficult. The latest battery-driven hydraulic pumps now have the capacity to power a wide range of hydraulic tools, such as cutters, torque wrenches, cylinders, nut splitters, and spreaders. Using a battery-driven hydraulic pump also eliminates the need for trailing power cords which reduces trip hazards, therefore enhancing operator safety. They are also quieter and less polluting than fossil fuel alternatives.

What are your growth plans in India?
We have an ambitious growth strategy centred around key pillars of expansion in targeted vertical markets, digital transformation and customer driven innovation.
