How is Daftech contributing to the growth of the Indian manufacturing sector?
The technology of Dissolved Air Flotation came to India in 1982 for primary treatment of industrial wastewater and recovery of fibre from white water of paper machines. Since then, the clarifiers based on this technology are being manufactured in India.

What kinds of emerging trends are you observing in the industry today?
Corporates are becoming increasingly aware of their social responsibility for a clean environment and water conservation. I do see a healthy willingness to try out new technologies in the market for wastewater treatment.

Companies across industries are emphasising on sustainability. How is Daftech helping its customers to meet their sustainability goals?
Customers nowadays are demanding more eco-friendly/sustainable products. We do help pulp and paper sector to conserve water and recover valuable fibre from waste stream originating from paper production. In other industries, we do play our role in cost-effective clarification of wastewater in the primary mode.

We also think that ‘green’ or ‘sustainability’ can be an effective brand building tool for companies.

How do you plan to scale up your business in the near future?
We have installations worldwide, in almost all continents. Our focus for 2024-25 will be Latin America.
