Cyient DLM, a design-led manufacturing subsidiary of the Hyderabad-based Cyient group, has announced a contract with Boeing to manufacture the battery diode module (BDM) for the 787 Dreamliner.

This contract represents the first project awarded to Cyient DLM by Boeing for the production of power electronics, alongside design and certification support for commercial aircraft, as stated in a regulatory filing.

Anthony Montalbano, CEO, Cyient DLM, emphasised that this contract is a significant milestone for the company, highlighting its commitment to design and certification while aiming to enhance its portfolio of build-to-specification products. “Cyient DLM is uniquely positioned to provide comprehensive design, development, qualification, certification, and production support to global aerospace OEMs,” he remarked.

Cyient DLM boasts one of the first AS9100C aerospace-certified electronic manufacturing facilities and is the first in India to achieve National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP) certification for circuit card assembly (CCA).

With over 20 years of experience in the design, certification, and qualification of embedded systems for safety-critical applications, Cyient and Cyient DLM are well-equipped to design, certify, and manufacture embedded systems for the aerospace sector.
