YES Bank, India’s fourth largest private sector bank, launched a knowledge series on February 20, 2018 for top executives and promoters of micro, small and medium scale enterprises (MSMEs) in Hyderabad, in partnership with Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI) to help local entrepreneurs scale their businesses to global audiences and gain competitive advantage. This is part of Yes Bank’s continuous endeavour to support MSMEs. In fact, during 2-day Magnetic Maharashtra Convergence summit, held in Mumbai from February 18-20, 2018, YES Bank promised to lend to the tune of Rs 10,000 crore to support MSMEs.

 

In Hyderabad, the exclusive forum of MSME CXOs witnessed an audience of over 200 leaders engrossed in discussions led by the keynote speaker Srinivas Gowra, President, FTAPCCI, who set the tone of the event by focusing on ‘Digital Finance and its Impact on MSMEs’.

 

The ‘Scale-up’ Knowledge Series is designed to equip SMEs with information about resource planning and management of challenges associated with scaling up, more so, in the context of the transformational shifts taking place in global commerce due to rapid changes in technology and a dynamic geopolitical and regulatory environment. The session focused extensively on digital finance, the impact of Fintech on financial services, and issues relevant to entrepreneurs of the industrial city of Hyderabad.

 

The session included a panel discussion that witnessed young entrepreneurs of Hyderabad passionately discuss the 'Impact of Digitization on MSMEs'. The panel was moderated by  Gaurav Goel, Senior President, and Country Head, Commercial Business Banking, YES Bank.

 

In keeping with its ethos of Knowledge Banking, YES Bank has previously hosted ‘Scale-up’ Knowledge Series in Pune and Ludhiana in partnership with Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) Pune and Ludhiana Management Association (LMA) to facilitate hassle-free transition of MSMEs to the new GST regime and scale-up businesses in an increasingly transforming global scenario.
