Air Liquide India builds Rs 3.5 billion manufacturing facility in Mathura

Industrial gases firm Air Liquide India announced the establishment of a new manufacturing unit in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, with an investment of Rs 3.5 billion aimed at expanding its business operations.

This air separation unit is dedicated to serving both healthcare and industrial merchant activities in Kosi, Mathura. According to a company statement, the unit boasts a production capacity of over 300 tonnes of liquid oxygen and medical oxygen per day, along with approximately 45 tonnes of liquid nitrogen and 12 tonnes of liquid argon daily.

The new facility will supply industrial gases across the Delhi Capital Territory, Western Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. The medical-grade oxygen produced here will be distributed to hospitals.

Additionally, Air Liquide India plans for the unit to fully operate on renewable energy by 2030. "Air Liquide has invested around Rs 3.5 billion to build this state-of-the-art air separation plant," the company stated.

Benoît Renard , Managing Director, Air Liquide India remarked, "This new plant is a key step in our expansion, fostering growth in both industrial and healthcare sectors throughout the region."
