There are many applications requiring elevation of powders at the rates of 250 kg/hr to 5 tonnes/hr over short vertical distances for applications like feeding mixers, reactors, and vessels, etc. Located at floor elevation ranging from 3 to 6 m, typically, this would involve emptying of powdered material from 25 to 100 kg bags, drums, boxes, etc, to ground level hoppers from where it would be required to be conveyed to overhead vessels as above. Flexible spiral conveyors offer a neat and simple solution for this requirement.
