Coating Thickness Gauges

Accumet Products offers a Coating Thickness Gauge, Series CM8801, a palm size economical instrument with one hand operation. This is is available in three options: CM8801F measures non-magnetic coatings such as paint, powder coatings, galvanizing, chrome plating, etc., on ferromagnetic substrates such as iron, steel, etc; CM8801N measures non-magnetic coatings on non-magnetic substrates such as aluminium, copper, brass, non-magnetic stainless steel, etc; and CM8801FN is “2-in-1” instrument, which is a combination of CM8801F and CM8801N. Its single probe recognises the base substrates automatically. These coating thickness gauges have built-in probe (no cable breakage). They do not require calibration for most applications. There is zero setting feature for rough and curved surfaces. Reset feature is also provided where no zero reference is available. The gauges give audio signal to confirm measurement, and can store last 10 readings for review. The large LCD displays measured values in large digits, which are easily readable. The display is reversible for convenience to read when the instrument is used in inverted position. Two measuring units (micron or mil) can be selected. The range is 0-1999 microns and resolution is 1 micron. The built-in wear resistance probe has V-groove for use on round/curved surfaces. It operates on a standard AAA battery. CM8801 is supplied with zero plates, calibration foils, instruction manual and a sturdy storage case.
