Gear Measuring Centres

Francis Klein & Co Pvt Ltd offers Klingelnberg Gear Measuring Centres, Model P 150 W-P 350 W, for windmill gears. The wind power industry records high rates of growth since several years already. By the current defined goals with the use of alternative energies for the future, this development is accelerated further. The capacity of the wind power plants has meanwhile increased up to 5 MW and therefore provides the conditions for a more efficient use. The gears used in the wind power plants hereby have to transfer the driving force with high reliability from the rotor onto the generator. The individual components of these planetary gear drives have to fulfil highest quality requirements and thus are inspected a 100% in the manufacturing process. In order to perform the inspection operation for the gearings as quick as possible, exact and reliable, a W-model was developed for the Klingelnberg-model series of the big gear measuring centres. By the 90° angular measuring arm the wind power model offers optimal conditions for inspecting the components of a planetary drive like internal gear rings, planet gears, sun gears. With planet gears also e g the dimension, form and location measurements can be performed at the bearing in the bore holes with this model. Big gearing widths on internal gear rings can also be inspected without any problem. The measuring arm of the new model is manufactured of a material with high resistance and low weight. A newly, compact 3D probe head on the bottom end of the measuring arm is prepared via a changing system for the acceptance of various stylus elements.
