Vibration Meter

The Baseline vibration meter, Model 2050, is a rechargeable battery operated hand-held digital instrument with vibration measurement capability. It measures vibrations in accordance with the requirements of IS 11724 for vibration severity assessment for machines, which run at speeds between 600-12,000 RPM. It has a compact piezo-electronic accelerometer sensor, which is quickly mounted on the bearing housing using a magnetic base. For non-magnetic surfaces, a touch probe is also supplied. The instrument can measure vibration in velocity (true-RMS mm/sec), acceleration (true-RMS M/sec2) and displacement (Pk-Pk microns) modes. In addition, a bearing mode measures the high frequency vibrations emitted by faulty bearings, which when trended over time can yield valuable information about the condition of the bearings. The instrument operates from rechargeable batteries and has a digital display. The calibration of the instrument is certified traceable to National Physical Laboratories, New Delhi. The instrument is
