Electronica Mechatronic Systems manufactures 2D height measuring station, Elektra Digimar CX1, under technical assistance from Mahr, Germany-a Carl Mahr holding company. The device, with switchable resolution from 0.0002 mm to 0.010 mm (0.2 micron to 10 micron) can measure up to 600 mm (expandable measuring length up to 935 mm takes care of most of the measurement). Opto electric incremental measuring system with steel tape from Carl Zeiss, motorised movement of the stylus carrier and the integrated air pump for easy movement ensures repeatability of 0.5 micron with the planes and 1 micron with the bores. The basic accuracy of the instrument is (2+L/499) microns. The rechargeable battery operated system ensures hassle-free operations with an option of online battery charging. Features include: memory programming 40 programs of 100 lines each with semi-automatic measuring run; built-in statistical processing unit; many printing options with self generated reports in ISO 9000 formats comprising customer records, measurement data with graphical representation and statistical evaluation comprising histograms, paratocharts, mean value charts, sigma range charts, Cp and Cpk values; console with RS-232 port as well as Centronics facility; data administration facility; and integrated 2D functions like squareness, polar distance, angle between 3 holes, PCD measurement, etc, and many more.
