Laser Calibration Services

Techedge offers a range of Laser Calibration Services - "accuracy, measurement and alignment checks" - under one roof. Services provided for: linear measurement and accuracy checking with compensation on any CNC system; ballbar/circularity checking for CNC machines with parametrical compensation; ballbar/circularity checking for lathes and VTL (special kit); geometrical measurement of machine tools (straightness, squareness, flatness); and measurement and alignment checks for lathe machine (spindle direction, offsets and parallelism of chuck centre with tailstock - concentricity). Advantages: specialised system for specific application; for linear measurement only two objects to align as the system has inbuilt interferometer, thus faster and better; and ball bar with latest software with optional kits. The company has invested in: Optodyne, USA - MCV500 for under measurement system - with auto compensation of environmental and material expansion coefficient; Renishaw, UK QC 10 Ballbar equipment - with lathe and VTL adaptor kit; and Easy Laser, Sweden - D600 machine tool measurement system. Ballbar analysis, laser alignment and laser calibration will improve the performance of machine tools, improve product quality, and bottom line. One can check positional accuracy, repeatability, and backlash over the length of the machine, which is not possible by dial indicator. Laser gives accurate measurement and can resolve accuracy problem faster. It identifies problems that can be attended to, before major breakdown. Yearly/periodically check helps maintain the machine and also plan preventive maintenance schedule. Ballbar system evaluates the machine condition with factors affecting circularity within no time.
