This cuts down impact sample preparation time from days/hours to minutes. Blacks are the pioneers in impact sample preparation equipment. Their sample preparation machines accept rough cut 16 mm&178; or 18 mm dia samples, and produce finished specimens complying with any of the international standards/specifications. The machines produce 4 impact sampIes in just 10 minutes. These are compact, bench-top models, and need no services other than a 3-phase AC electrical supply. Samples of hardness as high as 42 HRC can be machined and notched on the broaching machines in just 17 seconds. The broaches give very fine and accurate notches (V or U) to 2,3 or 5 mm depth. Both motorised and hand operated broaching machines are available.
