Vertical machining centre with automatic pallet changer

Cosmos Impex offers Feeler FV-800 APC, a vertical machining centre with automatic pallet changer (APC). This allows users to perform: non-machining tasks like fixture set up, part changeovers, etc, while machining of parts is going on. It is a mid-size VMC of FV 600/800/1000 range. It offers axes travels of 800, 450, 455 mm in X, Y and Z directions and machine table load bearing capacity of 300 kg. A 15 HP, 8000 RPM spindle motor provides constant torque and horsepower over a wide RPM range of spindle. 22 tools carousel type ATC is standard however for production jobs and a typical work envelope, causing an interference with carousel operation, a 24 tools arm type ATC is available. Optional chip conveyor or screw type conveyor, high-pressure coolant system, coolant through tool holder, rigid tapping and extended Z axis clearance to accommodate bigger work piece can enhance the productivity of the machine. The side loading APC features twin pallets of 810 x 435 mm size with drilled and tapped hole of M16 size, 50 numbers, spread over 10 x 5 matrix. A typical pallet change time of 10 seconds cuts down a great amount of non-machining time and operator intervention to provide practically unmanned operation.
