Essenes, Chennai, offers a high-end vertical machining centre, SPT-V550D, manufactured by Hyundai Machine Tools. Extremely high productivity can be realised by the high speed, rapid travel positioning of X and Y axes at 36 m/min and Z-axis at 30 m/min. The column traverse system and dual turntable will maximise the machine efficiency and minimise non-cutting time by high-speed 180 degrees turntable. The parts are loaded and unloaded on the table during machining at opposite side of table. The SPT-V550D spindle runs at a maximum speed of 10,000 rpm, output of AC 21.5 HP (16 kW) and torque of 12.5 kg-m as the 30 min rating. With 24 tools ATC and 1.8 s tool change time this is one of the most versatile machines in their range. The axis positioning accuracy (?0.005 mm), repeatability (? 0.002 mm) and positioning accuracy of index table (? 0.01 mm) make this a highly versatile, high precision machine.
