Auger Drill Rods

Almex International in conjunction with its Canadian headquarters and Majex Industries Inc, Canada, offers the complete range of auger drill rods for use in both soft and hard rock mining applications and tunneling projects. Majex is home to the world's largest twisting machine, capable of twisting rods up to 40 ft long. Both diamond and turbine sections are available in a variety of standard lengths with the customer's choice of shank and bit-end. The outer diameter range available is 25 mm - 60 mm. Diamond section is by far the most popular choice of scroll rod. It is heavy and has remarkable strength which gives excellent resistance to thrust and torque loading. Clearance of cuttings is most efficient, aiding fast driiling and achieving very smooth holes. Diamond sections are available solid or hollow with an internal flushing hole. Turbine section is suited to abrasive drilling conditions. The flat edged wing offers a larger surface area to the wall of the hole, which results in effective wear resistance. Turbine sections are also available solid or hollow with an internal flushing hole. Trial test results in one of the underground coal mines of Coal India Ltd have proven the better cost analysis of drilling with these drill rods.
