Polygon Turning Machine

Brisk Tech Engineers offers a Polygon Turning Machine in three models: PTM-1, PTM-2 and PTM-3. These models are two-axis with servo with PLC (or) CNC systems of longitudinal, cross slide and mechanical gearbox with fixed spindle speed ratio of 1:2. Spindle speed is variable through a variable frequency drive. This is suitable for even numbered polygons at the end of the component or middle of the component with data input through HMI on operating panel. Polygon turning process has the shortest cutting time compared to conventional machining. Features: automatic polygon multi-slot profile generating machine designed and developed with simplified mechanicals to the customary intricate and tough procedures of machining polygonal, multi slots and contours, with single setting operation; and the machines can be used by automobile, precision machine tools, valves, idler roller manufacturers, hydro-pneumatic, and service industries. Applications: two flats at the end of components, square at the end of component, hexagon at the end of component, any even polygon at the end of components, even numbered slots on face, ratchet teeth on face, triangle at the end of components, and spline teeth cutting at the end of components. Advantages: faster than conventional procedure, cost effective in terms of material and tooling, better surface finish and better burr control, simple set up and quick changeover for variety of components, variety of polygons and face teeth can be machined, the process is well suited for mass production and batch production, process uses standard inexpensive turning inserts instead of milling cutters for machining, and polygon turning is a unique generation process like gear hobbing.
