Grinding Machine With Improved CNC Control

The Toyoda CNC cylindrical grinding machine GL5A-63 II offers not only an aluminium oxide wheel variant, which has been increased to a 610 mm diameter and a wheel width of 125 mm, but also the option of a CBN wheel with a maximum diameter of 300 mm and a width of 50 mm. Using an aluminium oxide wheel the grinding machine achieves a working speed of 60 metres per second and, when fitted with CBN wheels, it runs at a speed of 120 metres per second. The machine is provided with a 32-bit absolute CNC control and offers a single diamond or rotary diamond CNC dressing capability. The swing diameter over table is 320 mm, the distance between centres is 630 mm, and the maximum grinding diameter is 220 mm. The maximum load between centres amounts to 150 kg.
