Mitsubishi Electric/Japan make CNC wire cut EDM, DW 90 CR, is of a compact, space saving design with numerous functions. The machine's structure is highly rigid and the powerful CNC control functions assure greater machining stability. A 14"colour CRT display and menu driven software reduce the programniing time drastically. A 3.5"floppy disk drive and an RS 232C interface are provided as standard. Automatic programming software can be provided optionally. A large number of machining data and machining conditions are stored in the memory which simplifies setting of machining conditions. Machining current of 50 Amps and stabilising circuits achieve very stable machining and reduce wire breakage. Simultaneous 4-axis control allows machining of complex profiles. The Mitsubishi technology is based on ordinary brass wires and hence the running cost is very much reduced. Montoring of all essential consumables like filters, resin, power feed, etc, ensures trouble-free maintenance. Many other functions like adaptive control, spiral interpolation, automatic second cut, static and dynamic graphic display, square type fixture, semi-automatic wire take-up device and taper machining unit are provided as standard.
