• Rotation of the spindle draws oil under the shoes forming a high-pressure wedge shaped film between each shoe and spindle; this high pressure wedge locks the spindle in one center of the rotation, regardless of direction of force of load; this constant center of rotation not only assures precision grinding results but also makes possible heavier cut, rapid metal removal and quick spark out during the grinding operation
