Column drilling machine

Coimbatore-based PSG Industrial Institute manufactures column-drilling machine - PSG CDM - 50 with automatic tool ejector and built in light.The design lends itself to drilling and is adaptable to tooling accessories to enhance automation. Fine feeding for reaming and boring is accomplished through manual operation of the fine feed hand wheel. Automatic feeding is accomplished through push button controls located at the end of the rapid hand feed lever. The feed is equipped with an electro mechanical clutch. The vertical adjustment and lock are located on the front of the machine to render ease of operation. The vertical adjustment allows positioning the tool and working in the optimum position to eliminate lost motion. The CDM-50 is equipped with a tool ejector and latch to avoid unintentional tool ejection. The machines have headstock adjustment motor of 1.5 HP and coolant pump. The feed and automatic release is by means of electromagnetic clutch. Feed range is 0.1-0.6 mm/rev with 6 numbers of feeds. Total height of machine is 3,000 mm and the net weight is 1,380 kgs. Standard accessories include coolant system; tool kit and work light. Reduction sleeves and quick movements co-ordinate table with lock are optional accessories available.
