Welded Pipes & Tubes

Suraj Stainless offers Welded Pipes & Tubes. The flat-rolled strip formed by an automatic welding process is passed through different sets of rollers at the recommended speed in accordance with thickness of the strip. The rollers form the pipe and they are welded by TIG process where there is a tungsten electrode and electrical supply is given to the electrode and the strip edge. There is a supply of argon and hydrogen gas of different composition at controlled flow rate. For specific application the outside weld bead is ground smooth to face and inside weld bead rolled flat. Manufacturing standard followed: ASTM/ASME-249, 269, 312, 688, or 17455, 17457. Grade: TP 304, 304L, 304H, 316, 316L, 316H, 321. Application: heat exchangers, LP/HP heaters, sugar pans, evaporators, pipelines, etc. Bead removed tube: bead removal is done as per the requirement of standard specification. Bead is cold worked and brought in level with the base metal. Bead rolling is made in-line before heat treatment on tube mill. Weld structure will thereby re-crystallise and homogenise faster in annealing process, which improves corrosion resistance. It also improves easy expansion in tube sheets and orbital welding and easy flow and easier cleaning and less scale deposits.
