Strip Heater, Mica Insulated

Emkay Enterprises manufactures a range of electric heating products. Mica insulated strip heaters have proven to be an economical and reliable heat source capable of providing uniform heat transfer to flat surfaces. These heaters of proven design consist of nickel-chrome ribbon wire, evenly spaced, wound on a specially selected mica strip. It extends to maximum length and width within the heater casing for maximum heat transfer, providing the lowest winding temperatures possible. Lead wires or terminals are securely fastened to the mica winding strip. Properly selected mica thickness insulates the connections and windings. The mica heating assembly is then enclosed in a metal casing. Due to the high dielectric strength provided by the specially selected mica, strip heaters have a very thin cross section. The low mass heating element assembly provides fast heat up time and excellent response to temperature controls. Typical applications include: food warming equipment, hot plates, packaging equipment, ovens, blow moulding equipment, stills, testing equipment, kettles, vulcanizing presses, incubators, vending machines, and moulds.
