Heat Pipe ? Heat Sinks

Capri Cables offers Heat pipe based Heat Sinks. They are rapidly replacing extruded heat sinks in various applications worldwide. Heat pipe - Heat sinks have high heat transfer capacity because of high thermal conductance and maximum heat flux is achieved with minimum temperature difference. Heat pipe heat sinks have a very long life, no maintenance and the cost is comparable with conventional heat sinks. They provide for 20-40% reduction in weight & dimension and provide for higher loading of electronic devices than with conventional cooling. Heat pipe- Heat sinks are used in cooling of semiconductor devices in electronic & rectifier industries. Cooling of transformer oil, control panel / optic cable junction box cooling and Laptop computers. Heat pipe heat sinks are also used in waste heat recovery in HVAC, Dehumidifiers and Dryers. Heat pipe heat sinks do not require external energy for operation other than the energy it transfers. The technology was developed by International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy & New Materials (ARCI), Hyderabad and the project is co-funded by TIFAC, Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India.
