Kwedos Belt Drives offers Timing Belt Drives system, designed and manufactured with matching pulleys as per international standards. All tools to generate the tooth profile are imported and conform to ISO standards. Timing Belt Drives operate in applications requiring positive and nonslip power transmission. When correctly tensioned, they have no slippage, run at constant speed, and are often used to transfer direct motion for indexing or timing purposes hence their name. They are used in lieu of chains or gears, so there is less noise and a lubrication bath is not necessary. The precision moulded belt teeth are designed to enter and leave the mating grooves on the pulleys in a smooth manner with low friction. Smaller and lighter weight drive packages can be used in a wide variety of applications. The belt drives also offer efficient operations over a wide range of loads and speeds. Timing belts need the least tension of all belts, and are among the most efficient. They can bear up to 250 hp (190 kW) at speeds of 16,000 ft/min.
