Mechanical Variable Speed Drive

Patel"s Analog & Digital Measurement manufactures Variable speed drive, Model E. It is designed for use on a wide variety of machinery. The drive may be used where continuously variable speed with positive drive is required. Model E1 has CCW output, where as Model E2 has CW output, irrespective of input direction. The output is continuously variable from 0-400 RPM with input of 1800 RPM. The drive gives constant output torque of 12 lb.inch at any speed. Such drives are widely used in textile industries for maintaining web tension. The speed can be varied infinitely from 0-400 RPM with change of handle (knob) position.
