The work shafts are made of hardened alloy steel of suitable grade. Worm wheels are made of phosphorous bronze. All gears are generated on hobbing machines. All bearings are taper roller type for long life and high load bearing capacity. Apart from the standard range, gearboxes are also tailor made to suit individual requirements or as per specifications provided. These are made of following specifications: Maximum centre distance - 750 mm; Minimum centre distance - 50 mm; Output shafts - parallel or perpendicular to the input shaft; Metal used - worm shafts of alloy steel duly hardened, worm gear of phosphorous bronze, or any specified metal.
