Shaft mounted speed reducer

Kavitsu Transmissions manufactures Shaft mounted speed reducer. It is used in conveyors. SMSRs are available in three different ratios - 5:1, 13:1 and 20:1 - designed in 8 different models. Depending on size, these can transmit power up to 175 HP max, with ratio 5:1 and up to 75 HP max, with ratio 13:1 or 20:1. These come with solid shaft on input side to mount pulley and hollow output shaft to allow the gearbox to be mounted directly on the driver shaft. This ensures foolproof alignment of gearbox and avoids foundation, coupling, etc. A torque arm anchoring method provides a quick and easy adjustment by means of turnbuckle. Case carburised and ground gears ensure proper load ratings and performance. Provision is made to adopt a backstop to avoid reversal of rotation. Special care is taken in case of designing and adopting oil seals, due to which, SMSRs give trouble free performance in severe applications like taconite mining, rock processing, fertilizer plants, etc.
